AYAN.SH streams live space data straight from NASA and Open Notify APIs: the current position of the International Space Station (ISS), the list of asteroids passing near Earth today, and NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).

International Space Station (ISS)

The ISS orbits Earth roughly every 92 minutes at an average altitude of 408 km and a speed of about 28,000 km/h. Our tracker updates its latitude and longitude every 5 seconds via the Open Notify API, and shows how many astronauts are currently aboard along with their names and spacecraft.

Near-Earth Asteroids Today

NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS) tracks every known asteroid whose orbit brings it within 1.3 AU of the Sun. AYAN.SH pulls today's approaches from the NASA NEO Feed API and lists each object's estimated diameter, closest-approach distance (in kilometers and lunar distances), relative velocity, and whether it is flagged potentially hazardous.

Astronomy Picture of the Day

Every day since 1995 NASA has featured a different image or photograph of our universe, along with a short explanation written by a professional astronomer. AYAN.SH mirrors today's APOD with its title, credit, and full explanation.
